"Manta Ray" assemblage art wall hanging 12"x2"x.075" 2017
This Manta Ray is made from sawed wood and found objects and hand painted upon.. Its forehead, nose and mouth are a door knocker and there is a metal outlet saftey cover on it's main body. The rest is painted wood (acrylic and enamel paint). It has one brown and one pink doll eye and the triangles around those eyes are sculpted from polimer clay. It's tail is a hand dyed fabric covered wire. “Manta Raty” is of Benkin’s ongoing "future ghost" series where she combines found and mdified elements to create pop surreal creatures. This is a one of a kind original artwork, signed by Al Benkin of Mutantland art and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
